Apparel Design and Merchandising Team is Back .....!!!


The NID’s apparel designing and merchandising unit is ready for its presentations, first before the traffic department sometime in mid-August, says co-ordinator of this unit Somesh Singh. Men’s uniform will have a leather-type coated fabric belt which is waterproof and fire resistant.

It has foldable pockets which can hold a cellphone, a notebook, wireless device, pen, water bottle, first-aid, the baton, handcuffs, umbrella and a torch. Women’s belt is made of material used to make parachutes to make it lighter. The caps are made of 100 per cent corduroy in the beret style as well as the gentleman’s style. Says Singh, "The uniforms also have fragrance finish to ease the stress they work under, anti-bacterial microbial finish to protect them against bacteria and UV rays and night glow so they are visible in the dark."

after a long struggle..its over..

amazing work mannu.. you have done it.. we know, you would do it great..

we wont forget all the moment working for this..

they way we all ( ro, deary gary and manga and myself little bit ) tried to work and created the chaos..!! and great to see the way gary was working..!! yo garry...and yo ro and manga..and their mac's..!!!! oh.. fun it was!! anyways....

well, kid...you have inspired me.. keep it up and keep your yoga project alive..i am sure you will come up with great things in future...

finally.......

after a long way from the scratch to sculpture, the lancia model of manga's (anand) work is all set to leave to italy for the final stage of the FIAT competiton...!!

really, nothing much to say about, what was my experience of being with anand, from the start to end of the project..... rather i would consider this as a live design project, where i got to see all the levels from where he started with news paper sketch to superb presentation to FIAT people to win the prestigious competition, to go and work with the lancia design team for 6 months in turin, italy..!!!

great da manga..!!!
